After our Universal Studies visit in The Angels, during the road trip through the United States, We went to Santa Monica, population on the Pacific coast belonging to the great Los Angeles.
On the tour we found a lot of traffic, which we imagined was because it was Saturday and many people had to go to the beach areas.
Upon arriving at Santa Monica, we walk through the town but especially the beach and its surroundings. And, likewise, for his famous jetty pier which enters about 300 meters in the Pacific.

The pier, which is only pedestrian, is full of attractions for all tastes: musicians, jugglers, clowns, etc ... As well as bars and terraces, many people, and many fishermen.
We could also see the sign indicating the end (or the beginning) of the historic Route 66, from which we had traveled about 2,000 kilometers. A few days later we were able to close the circle by seeing in Chicago the poster announcing the start - or the end - depending on how you look at it, of this famous interstate highway.
It was a very pleasant afternoon, with a perfect temperature, walking through the famous Muscles beach, which was very lively. There were many people enjoying the most diverse activities, from fitness classes or aerobics in the sand, to various sports training.

There were also some ribbons raised about 40 centimeters from the ground, where people walked trying to keep their balance, as well as baseball and football games.
We have also been looking at something similar to a track about 70 meters long, with a metal structure where some ropes hung with rings attached at the end, which were raised from the ground at a height of about 2.5 meters, and where the athletes in question should go from one side to another swinging between the rings.
We were almost an hour in the Muscles beach looking at the successes and failures of the participants, some quite expert, others more rookies, and some cooler than an eight. To really be able to make this round trip quickly, from ring to ring, required a good physical form and a good training.

The Santa Monica beach it's huge, a real melting pot of different types of people, races and languages, with a lot of Castilian in the environment. Great experience, although we didn't bathe, because we weren't wearing a swimsuit.
The most emotional part of the day is that both Aurora and I had already completed the coast to coast, since Asbury park in New Jersey, in the Atlantic, until Santa Monica in California, in the Pacific. We hugged tightly on that pier. Aurora doesn't know exactly why that hug was, but I do. You will find out by reading these lines.
The day was cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon, with a temperature between 20º and 25º.
